That's just war!

Apparently, when I'm trying to prove a point, I can be quite productive!

Let me explain. When we started the 6mm ACW project, the plan was for us all to paint a few bits and have a game to see how it works. We all painted roughly the same amount, apart from Kieron, who furiously painted to ensure the Union side had the numerical advantage...

When challenged about this, he pointed out that armies weren't always equal,  and anyway, that's just war!

So here we are. Wes and I have been in discussions ever since that night to ensure that next time we played, we'd have the advantage. And what better way to do that than to paint everything I own!

So here it all is:

Infantry! These were the main slog, but by the end I'd got the whole painting process for a unit down to about half an hour. The longest part was waiting for the pva glue to dry when basing!
Cavalry! Clippety clop!
Artillery! And commanders!
The army as a whole! The banner at the front was the last thing I did. Wes requested I added the "Dickheads!". I think it works quite nicely! And nobody can claim there's anything wrong as I have blogged about it!

And anyway, that's just war!

    I didn't 'furiously paint to ensure the Union had more', I just painted stuff not aware that you'd be a lazy arse and paint the bare minimum.

    You however, have done just that, and still only managed to beat us because Matt sucks.

    Two brigades broken on each side, despite us having a massive numerical disadvantage tends to point to you two being rubbish. :)

      You fail to point out that the other 3 brigades we had didn't have a scrsrtch on them! So yes, the bit you were involved in was fsairly even. And we didn't even need to use our cavalry!

      But yes, Matt suclks.

      Two of those other three brigades had barely managed to show up.

      I'm awesome. I've asked my mum and she confirmed it.

    Wes has been bringing up the throwaway "that's just war" comment fairly regualrly ever since Kieron made it. I didn't realise you'd been so deeply affected too.

    Of course you realise, this means (just) war...

      Ha! Not deeply affected. By the time I'd painted the unusual stuff like the cannons etc there wasn't much left to do so I thought I might as well finish it all! The banner was just an idea I had when I realised it would only take about 20 minutes to knock together...

      Twas a fun game though!
